The Whitianga race is always a popular venue with great hospitality, spectacular scenery on the Coromandel Peninsula and traditionally great racing in big swells along the foreshore of Buffalo Beach.

Whitianga once again delivered true offshore conditions with a 2metre swell combined with a steady onshore breeze to test drivers and gear. Building Solutions took another win and 3rd overall in the 60 mile race after dicing with the larger classic boats for the first few laps!
Behind them was a great race between Altitude and Auckland District Collections with Altitude having the better until the last lap when they split there hull and came close to sinking!
ADC came through for second and a very happy team Electropar took their first podium finish in 3rd.
The next round is at Whangarei, a brand new venue on 18th April race starts 1.00pm.
